See Thru Soul® Finds Niche

For most denim companies, finding an identity in the congested market is a struggle but See Thru Soul has forged past the crowd and found its niche with the young contemporary woman.

"Our girls are more sophisticated than a junior and are up on trends and what is happening in the better market," said Evelyn Ober, creative director of See Thru Soul.
Just as important as style, the See Thru Soul girl is looking for the right fit. "She’s fashionable and has a different body shape than a 15-year-old."

While Ober likes the skinny and has incorporated the trend into her line, she has not made it the focal point of any season's collection.  "A lot of people are talking about tapered and skinny legs but we are shipping wider legged & trouser pants. Our customers will have an easier time wearing those than skinny jeans."

As for trends, See Thru Soul will continue to keep the line bright with colored denims that ranges from yellow, red and white as well as metallic tints and high gloss. "I think metallics & gloss will be important," said Ober. "The trend has already started and it's going to continue." This spring the line will feature lighter metallics and less obvious shine.

See Thru Soul will continue to deliver basic styles with a flattering fit. "We have to produce items that our customer can wear and feel comfortable in, so when she puts her jeans on, she doesn't have to think about it." said Ober. "She wants to feel comfortable and when you feel comfortable, you feel sexy." — L.D.
